Missionary Cooperation Plan

Since 1954, The Society for the Propagation of the Faith Office (SPOF) in Milwaukee, on behalf of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the archbishop, has facilitated the Missionary Cooperation Plan (MCP). The SPOF Office (part of World Mission Ministries), manages and facilitates these appeals in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The SPOF Office reviews mission group applications and evaluates parish needs to assign the mission groups to the parishes for annual appeals. Please contact wmo@archmil.org with any further questions.

MCP Statement by Archbishop Jeffrey S. Grob

  • An annual chance for mission congregations, lay organizations, and mission dioceses to share the lived faith experience with Catholics across the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

  • Local parishioners learn about the lived faith experiences of the mission field. It connects the local church with the global Church and allows us to realize our baptismal call.

  • As determined by the archbishop, all parishes of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee welcome a missionary as part of the MCP each year - sharing the Good News and broadening our collective understanding of the Global Church.
